Catholics are up in arms about giving access to women employed by Catholic organizations access to birth control and they feel that Barack Obama is, by forcing them to do so, violating Freedom of Religion. So, with that notion in mind, let’s turn to abortion.

Catholic’s believe that life begins at conception and therefore they want to end all abortions. However, without getting into the details of how each religion permits it, Islam and Judaism both allow abortions in some affect. While old Hindu scripture is against it, there are differing opinions within the religion as to whether the religion stands against abortions. The stance on abortions in Buddhism is also a bit muddy but the religion is not ultimately against it. 

So, that being said, by advocating against abortions and stating that life begins at conception, Catholic’s are violating the very thing they’re angry about right now— Religious Freedom. They are attempting to push their beliefs on when life begins on everyone else and on other religions—some of which do not at all believe that life begins at conception.

So where’s the Freedom of Religion argument now? Or is it that they believe in Freedom of Religion but only for themselves… 

They’re also really enthusiastic about violating the freedom of Muslims to establish mosques throughout the country, even though that’s a constitutionally protected free expression of their religion. Or, when an atheist rightly points out that her school, as a public institution, cannot endorse Christianity or hang religious paraphernalia in their school, they flip a shit and threaten her with violence, death, and eternal damnation.

Hypocrites.
