Background: I’ve spent hundreds of dollars putting together a picnic for family and friends tomorrow, and I found out tonight that somehow word slipped to a member of the family with whom I have a very negative relationship… and he effectively invited himself.

This person purposefully kept me from having a relationship with my nephews, and now, for the sake of familial unity and comfort, I have to put up with his arrogant pompous ass tomorrow while I work a barbecue pit to show my family a good time.  Because of this, I don’t speak to this person and I don’t spend any time with him, his wife, or his kids. 

It really, really pisses me off that someone gave him an invite without trying to tell me, and now I have to be fucking nice to the asshole.
