You might have a point if the treaty in question had anything to do with disarmament. It does not. It would attempt to regulate the international import and export of weapons only. The United States, as the leading weapons manufacturer in the world, should be involved in any treaty that attempts to regulate weapons distribution.
If that translates to you as ‘disarmament’, then I have to question whether or not you’re being honest here.
