The award for worst timing in the history of ever goes to @nra_rifleman, the Twitter account for the official National Rifle Association journal.
I really just don’t know what to say here… it speaks for itself.
To be fair here, I’m pretty sure the NRA isn’t omnipotent, and I think it goes without saying that whoever posted this hadn’t heard the news. (And this isn’t meant to excuse the NRA for their role in the proliferation of weapons, just pointing out the obvious because it’s apparent that most people are reading too much into this.)
And, apparently, they did delete it.
