Basically.
Blah damned superior acting “independents” and “libertarians”. It’s just like how some agnostics act like they’re better than theists and atheists for their zenlike state of “IDEK”
It’s not the differences that matter, it’s the consensus issues.
Both parties are firm supporters of unilateral drone warfare, torture, and war on terror/civilian surveillance policies. (Remember the Patriot Act?) Both parties supported socializing corporate profits through tax breaks and bailouts. (In fact, both parties just recently voted down 4.5 billion dollars in funding for food stamps.) Both parties supported unsustainable detaxation which favors the wealthy.
Yes, Democrats and Republicans are not the same, but they’re similar enough that it’s pretty clear we need a viable third option in our elections.
