Blatant lies go completely unchallenged, such as Romney’s assertion that his health plan will keep protections in place for people with preexisting conditions, or his tax plan will not hand out even more boatloads of cash freely to the folks bankrolling him than the Bush tax cuts.

After watching Scott Pelley do an on-air fact check on Paul Ryan during the RNC, I can only conclude that it’s important to nip these things in the bud when they occur, because my countrymen are too lazy to read around the internet and find the answers for themselves.
