Male privilege is rolling your eyes at the teenage girl who hurried her steps and kept glancing over her shoulder at you while she walked to her bus stop and you walked your dogs.
Male privilege is exclaiming, “What? Do I look like a fucking rapist?!” to your (male) friends.
(Hint: Yes, yes you do.)
Being treated like a rapist for simply standing near a paranoid teenage girl’s path of trajectory: truly the greatest privilege of them all.
If you listen to some of these dumb bastards (such as OP), it almost seems as if they want physical proximity, trajectory, and looking at someone to be considered a criminally punishable act. (For an easy reason to substantiate why this is stupid, check out The Innocent Project’s exoneration files. It’s packed with folks who were convicted and imprisoned falsely for rape.)
