I don’t see how so few religious people manage not to make this connection.
I have a question for you. What took so damn long?
So, there’s a ban on religious proselytizing coming for the US Military. (Religous, meaning the other religions too and not just Christianity.)
Therefore, naturally, Christians are pissy about it. (After all, what value is their religion if they can’t bug people who don’t want to hear about it?)
When are they going to complain about being ordered to commit war crimes, I wonder? Where’s their Christianity when they’re being told to drop a bomb on a wedding party or first responders in Afghanistan? Or a sixteen year-old kid in Yemen?
Where’s your Christianity then, jesus freaks? Thou shalt not kill, right?
Matthew 6:5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
Reading between the lines here, isn’t this a pretty blatant admission that they think Jesus is powerless?
Was God just napping or something when the kid got snatched in the first place? And why didn’t he use these apparently miraculous god powers earlier and save law enforcement the time and trouble of doing the legwork? (And save the poor kid lifelong trauma?)
I imagine it’d involve the forced imbibing of cough medicine.
Bleh.
Saw this nice little sign on a church near my parents’ house yesterday. I don’t know about you, but if I believed in God or Jesus, this would just totally scream ‘Christian Love’ to me. Don’t you think?
Why must I be in the presence of such incredible stupidity?
