It’s 8:23 AM on Christmas Day.

I’m already exhausted, but man I love these kids.

I love that my little siblings will call me every ten minutes to ask where I am if I don’t get to my parents’ house by six o’clock on Christmas Eve.

    They think I’m pretty cool.

Finishing up my Christmas cards yesterday was a little sad.

I had a friend who died of breast cancer late last year, and her name was still on my list.  Rest in peace, Mary Anne!

Here we go with the War on Christmas email forwards, AGAIN!!!

Christians, please ditch the insecurity and accept that you live in a pluralistic religious society and that it’s not a personal insult to you, or your religion, when folks try to be inclusive of Non-Christian folks.  (In fact, one would think that at Christmas, we’d want to be inclusive of other people.)

I use the term ‘Christmas’ because it’s what the holiday is generally called throughout the world and in America, but I don’t believe in Christ’s divinity and I question whether he really existed at all.  I’m not offended by the term until some Christian decides to use it as a weapon to bully or belittle other folks.

This season is intended as a celebration and an acknowledgement of the good in humanity.  Why do you really give a crap how folks choose to celebrate it?

I look forward to the day when cartoons like this don’t need to be drawn, because all of our soldiers are here (actually) defending the country, as they should be, rather than fulfilling the imperialistic dictates of the US Government.

Perhaps the Pope should sell that scepter, golden throne, and fancy robes and feed the poor folks huddling outside his palace before he bitches about folks buying gifts for Christmas?
