This is so wildly vulgar, but it made me laugh out loud, so I’m sharing it.
I hope it makes you laugh too.

I don’t see how so few religious people manage not to make this connection.

    confused-companion:

whoever wrote this line needs to receive a medal

This is probably true, but let’s be honest here, there are millions of women (at least in the US) lining up in support of regressive abortion laws.  This isn’t just a ‘man’ problem.  It’s a Christian problem.
The sadder thing is that many of those women still want to get their abortions on the sly when they get pregnant unintentionally.

Here’s one verse I wish Christians actually gave a shit about:

Matthew 6:5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.

France legalizes gay marriage despite angry protests
(Photo: AFP - Getty Images)
France became the 14th country in the world to allow same-sex couples to wed Tuesday, when its parliament approved a law that has sparked often violent street protests and a rise in homophobic attacks.
Read the complete story.

If we’re being honest, the headline should read “France Legalizes Gay Marriage Despite Threats of Violence and Terrorism from Christians”.
Oh, excuse me, Catholic Sanctioned Threats of Violence and Terrorism.

On Claire McCaskill’s Decision to Support Gay Marriage

Gotta say, it’s pretty sickening to see all of the negative (and false) statements folks are making about gay Americans in light of the Supreme Court hearings and McCaskill’s decision to support gay marriage.

My fellow Missourians, quite a few of you are shameless bastards, and I’d wager your god cares a heck of a lot more for folks that actually honor Christ’s core concepts of selflessness and unconditional love than folks who can’t be bothered to question hateful teachings that have been pounded into their heads by self-serving charlatans.

Yeah, the Bible may say gayness is wrong, but it also condemns the eating of shellfish, the planting of different crops in adjacent fields, and the wearing of polyblend clothing. (But I don’t see any of you fuckers protesting in front of Red Lobster, now do I?) Oh, and the Bible is fully supportive of rape, misogyny, parents killing their children for disobeying, and slavery.

I think we can do much better than the Bible, and I hope the Supreme Court agrees.

Well, those of you following the news know that my area (The Midwest) is in the path of a storm set to hit tomorrow afternoon.

My facebook feed is filled with folks telling everyone how they need to pray for everyone to be safe and for the storm to be less dangerous than expected.

Then I remember how the Texas wildfires raged for four months after Rick Perry begged everyone to pray for rain. (After he cut funding for fire services.)

    Whatever happens will happen, people.

Pope will remain in Vatican to avoid prosecution for child sex abuse

I don’t know why anyone allows their children around these people.

The state of Arkansas is going to legalize guns in churches.

Reading between the lines here, isn’t this a pretty blatant admission that they think Jesus is powerless?

I get a little chuckle out of islamaphobes.

They’ll spend the entire day posting hateful verses in the Qu’ran and talking about how contradictory its verses are. (Which is true, there are a lot of contradictions in the Qu’ran.)

But, they never seem to take that mindset and apply it to the Bible, which is also loaded with contradictions.  Their all-loving god floods the whole world over a hissy fit or kills all of the firstborn children of Egypt because he’s angry at the pharaoh. Or, you get four divinely inspired writers that can’t agree on which day of the week the Crucifixion took place.

    Connect the dots, islamaphobes!
